Use this program to:

  • Preprint trip tickets (the Hertz Canada version of a Non-Rev Movement).

Note: This program is very similar to the CARRENT -Trip Ticket program. Only the differences are discussed in this chapter.

New transactions: Of the normal required fields, data does not need to be entered in the following fields at this time:

Unit (Vehicle Number)

Out Kms/Miles (Out Odometer)

When the out odometer reading is entered in the "OUT KMS/MLS" field, the in odometer reading is calculated automatically if the number of kms/miles between the locations has been entered in the Drop Charge file. The Drop Charge file also provides a field to record the normal length of time it takes to move a vehicle between the two locations. That time is added on to the opening time of the Trip Ticket to compute the default "In Date/Time".

After entering data, to preprint a trip ticket, Press F4 (instead of F1).

If the Doc # field is left blank, the trip ticket number will be assigned.

A new record is written to the NonRev file and its status is "P" (preprint).

Completing the ticket: Use the CARRENT - Complete Trip Ticket program to change the preprinted ticket to an open or closed ticket.

Tickets in Status "P" can be voided (and are not queued up for transmission to OKC.)

To access the program, type PREPRINT (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Hertz Canada Menu. The screen will then display:
