Note: There is a feature in the Edit User Access file, Expire Exempt, that will exempt that user from this Account Expiration deactivation.


To access the program, type EXPUAF (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Security System Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. INACTIVE DAYS

Enter the number of days a record needs to be inactive in order to consider it for expiration.

The User Access records are examined as follows:

A. Records which have the "Expire Exempt" field set to "Y" are not considered at all.

B. Records which have a date in the past entered in the "Account Expire Date" field are not considered at all.

C. The remaining records:

1. Records which have a date in the "Last Login Date":

The number of days between the "Last Login Date" and the current date are calculated. If greater than the days entered here, the User code will be reported.

2. Records which do not have a date in the "Last Login Date" field:

The number of days between the "Create Date" and the current date are calculated. If greater than the days entered here, the User code will be reported.

EXAMPLE: Type 180 (RET)

2. DE-ACTIVATE USERS

Enter:

Y = For those records that are found to be inactive, enter the current date in the Account Expiration Date field.

N = Do not update the User Access records; just produce the report.

3. PRINT/ DISPLAY/ FILE

Enter:

P = Print a hard copy of this report on your terminal's assigned printer. See the Edit Terminal Records Chapter for instructions on how to assign printers.

D = Display this report on this screen. See the General Data Entry Instructions Chapter on how to control the screen display.

F = Create a csv file with this data and place in the sub-directory edtuaf under CARS+.
