This report is used to:

When customers return their vehicles and do not furnish the closing odometer and fuel level to the rental agent, this check-in sheet can be printed quickly and placed with the keys. The service agent can then write in the closing odometer reading and fuel level. This allows the RA to be batch closed away from the rental counter.

A field in the location record can be used to turn on the feature that automatically prints a check in sheet for each RA closed by on-line RA Close.

The report contains the pertinent information about the vehicle as illustrated below.

To access the program, type CHECKIN (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the RA Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:


1a. VEHICLE#
Vehicles can either be accessed by their unit number or by their license plate number. To access a vehicle by unit number, enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters representing the unit number of the vehicle washed and prepped. The vehicle's license plate number will automatically be displayed in the second field.


EXAMPLE: Type 1888 (RET)

If the vehicle is not currently in status "O" (on rent), the following message will display:

THIS VEHICLE IS NOT ON RENT, REPORT ANYWAY? Y/N

Enter"

N = This field will be cleared so that another unit number can be entered.

Y = Yes, continue with the vehicle number entered.

1b. LICENSE#
To access a vehicle by license number, type slash "/" and up to 11 alphanumeric characters representing the license plate number of the vehicle washed and prepped. The vehicle's unit number will automatically be displayed in the first field.

Notes about the data displayed on the screen:

"Radio Code" - this is the data from the "Security Code" field of the vehicle record.

"Current Hold Codes and Descriptions: - each open Hold Code on the vehicle along with its description are listed.
