Use this program to:

  • Merge records from an ascii file into the Zip Code file.

Edits to individual records may be made by using the Edit Zip (CEP) Codes program.

To access the program, type MRGZIP (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Import/Export Data Menu. The screen will then display:
OPTION: __ MERGE ZIP CODES

Enter data as follows:

1. ENTER COUNTRY CODE

Enter the country code to which these zip codes pertain.

EXAMPLE: Type BRI (RET)

2. ENTER ZIP FILE PATH AND NAME

Enter the full path name of the file to be merged. The program expects a comma delimited ascii file in a particular format.

Upon pressing F1, the zip code file is initialized. Then new records are written to the zip code file.

PRESS "F1" AT "OPTION:" TO BEGIN THE UPDATE .
